Peter Ragee was born in 1955 in Cape Dorset (Kinngait), Nunavut. He learned art making from his father, Saggiassie Ragee (1923-2003) who was a well known carver and printmaker. Peter Ragee was raised in Cape Dorset and his art often depicts his experience of the land and Inuit culture, generally in the mediums of drawing and printmaking. His art has been exhibited widely across Canada, and can be found in many public collections including the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the Red Deer and District Museum and Archives. Peter Ragee lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
