Paul Duval is a well-known Canadian art historian, critic and writer, author of books such as Canadian Impressionism, A.J. Casson: A Tribute, The Tangled Garden, the Art of J.E.H. MacDonald and Cornelius Krieghoff, among others. For many years he was the art editor for Saturday Night and the Toronto Telegram, and has written and produced radio, film and television programmes on the arts. He is also a photographer, and with his Roliflex camera has taken photographs of artists in Canada, Europe and Britain.
