Michele Touchette was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She studied Interior Design at Douglas College (New Westminster, BC) and Fine Arts at the University of Regina, University of British Columbia (Vancouver) Emily Carr University of Art and Design (Vancouver) and Ottawa Schools of Art,. She also attended the Emma Lake workshops in central Saskatchewan. Touchette was an Artist-in-Residence with the Saskatchewan Arts Board and L'Association Francophone Canadienne de Regina, and with the Regina Catholic School board. For ten years she taught at community colleges, the Saskatchewan Board of Education and the University of Regina. In 1999 she moved to Vancouver, and was a guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia. From 2009 Touchette spent over a decade living the the United States before moving to Harrison Mills, BC in 2020. Michele Touchette is a member of CARFAC BC and is a founding member of the Harrison Art Guild.
