Notable Art Works
Marilyn Weiss was born in 1940, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, and grew up on a farm near Reynaud. She was a long-time member of the Broadway Painters Workshop, and in 1991 co-founded the Artists Worksop collective (Saskatoon). Her work often featured northern Saskatchewan settings, especially areas around Candle Lake and Emma Lake. Her work has exhibited widely in Saskatchewan, including the annual Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils touring shows. Marilyn Weiss died in Saskatoon in 2022.
