Marcia J. Ferguson-Dark was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and returned to Saskatchewan after spending fifteen years in the Arctic. She was an active member of the Yellowknife Guild of Crafts, and studied watercolour in Victoria BC with Glen Matthews. In Regina she studied watercolour at the University of Regina with instructor Donna Kreikle, and took classes with artists Jack Reid, Beth Gaffney, Ward Schell and Christine Lynn. She is a member of the Brushworks Art Guild (Regina). Her first solo was at the Joe Moran Gallery in 1999, in Regina.
