Luc Chenier was born and raised Montreal, Quebec, and studied Graphic Design at St. Lawrence College, in Cornwall, Ontario, graduating in 1996. The next year, he began a three-year stint with the Phoenix Advertising Group, in Regina, Saskatchewan, before spending much of the next twenty years working in graphic design and advertising in the Ukraine and Russia. In visual arts, he is best know for his project "United" in which Chenier recreated a large selection of national flags in the colours of Ukraine, which toured Canadian, the USA and Europe. Luc Chenier splits his time between Canada and Ukraine.
