Lora Armbruster is originally from Stony Plain, Alta., and came to B.C. in 1954 for the British Empire and Commonwealth Games. She settled in Vancouver before purchasing a home in Langley in 1975, where she continues to live. She has taught many art workshops over the span of five decades. Her work is in acrylics, oils and watercolour on both canvas and paper. She paints a variety of subjects: still lifes, portraits, animals, landscapes - "Anything that strikes my fancy".
