Lisa Wirth was born in 1923 in Sandersleben, Germany. She studied art at the Meister-Schule, near Frankfurt. She emigrated to Canada in 1954, and continued her studies at Sheridan College, in Oakville, Ontario. She worked in watercolour, pastel and oil painting. In 1999 Wirth moved to Cochrane, Alberta, where she was very involved in the art community. Lisa Wirth died in 2017, in Cochrane, Alberta.
