Laura MacDonald was born in 1983 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in Drawing. She received the Saskatchewan Arts Board Premier's Centennial Arts Scholarship in 2008 as well as the BMO 1st ART! Award in 2011 for emerging young artist from Saskatchewan, and has exhibited her work in the Mackenzie Art Gallery (Regina), the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (Toronto), and the Regina International Airport. MacDonald is currently living and working in Regina.
