Laszlo Feszt was born in Cluj, Romania in 1930. He studied at the Ion Andreescu College of Fine Arts in Cluj, where he also taught for many years. Feszt is considered the grandfather of modern Romanian illustrators, having designed and illustrated more than 250 books and exhibited his works at solo shows throughout Hungary as well as Switzerland, Italy, Denmark and France. Laszlo Feszt died in Cluj in 2013.
