Keeleemeeoomee Samualie was born on the west coast of Baffin Island, Nunavut in 1919. Around 1966 she and her family abandoned their camp life and moved to Cape Dorset. There, she, like other members of her family, quickly became involved in artmaking, especially at the West Baffin Eskimo Co-op. Her prints appeared in many of the Cape Dorset Print Catalgoues, and can be found in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Canada, McMichael Gallery of Canadian Art, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Dennos Museum Centre (Michigan), Canadian Museum of Civilization and many more.
