Kay Angliss was born on a farm near Port Coquitlam, British Columbia in 1923. She graduated from the Vancouver School of Art in 1946, and continued her studies at the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art (Calgary), and she attended multiple Emma Lake Art School session in Central Saskatchewan. Angliss specialized in printmaking, and her work was widely exhibited and collected. It can be found in the permanent collections of The Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Kelowna Art Gallery, Confederation Centre Art Gallery (Charlottetown PEI) and the Art Gallery of Grand Prairie, among many others. Having spent most of her career in Alberta, Kay Angliss returned to British Columbia in 1989, and died in 2004.
