Katerina Viteckova was born Opava, Czech Republic in 1931. She graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Prague, having studied with Anton Kybal and Karel Svolinsky. Her work focuses on colourful woodcuts and lithographs for book illustration and other graphic design. Viteckova has a fondness for small formats and has won many awards for her exlibris designs. She is a member of the Czech Fine Arts Fund and the Association of Czech Graphic Artists. Katerina Viteckova has participated in many exhibitions of paintings and graphics around the world and more than 40 exhibitions devoted to exlibris bookplates.
