Karen Phillips-Curran was for 17 years the Head Scenic Painter with the National Arts Centre and in this capacity worked to realize the vision of many of Canada's top set designers. She has also worked on the creation of exhibits in the Canadian Museum of Nature, the National Gallery and others. Her work is widely collected in Canada and Europe. She has lived her whole life in the Ottawa Valley.
