Jean Sojonky was born in 1932, in Regina, Saskatchewan. She started painting seriously in the early 1960s, working for in oil paints, then switching to watercolour in the 1990s. She was a member of the Prairie Artists Guild (Regina) and participated in many shows in Regina and area. Jean Sojonky died in 2019, in Regina.
