Jason Leo Bantle was born in 1972, and grew up exploring the woods and wetlands outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He studied biology at the University of Saskatchewan, and developed an interest in nature photography. After opening his first nature photography gallery in Saskatchewan's Prince Albert National Park in 2005, Bantle has opened five other galleries in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario.
