Isa Aupalukta was born in Inukjuak (Port Harrison) in northern Quebec. He continues to live in Inukjuak, hunting and carving. His work has been exhibited many times in Canada, including at the Inuit Gallery of Vancouver and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and can be found in the permanent collections of the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
