Notable Art Works
Igor Rumansky was born in 1946 in Demanova, Slovakia. From 1961 to 1965 he studied graphics at the Secondary School of Art (Bratislava) and from 1967 - 1971 studied in the Department of Printmaking and Book Illustration of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Bratislava). He then taught at the General School of Graphics (Bratislava) and for 25 years at the College of Fine Arts (Bratislava). Throughout his career Rumansky focused on illustration, printmaking, stamp design and ex libris prints. He illustrated approximately 150 books, is credited with thirteen stamp designs, and won many national and international awards. Igor Rumansky died in 2006 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
