Notable Art Works
Igor Benca was born in Topolcany, Slovakia, in 1958. From 1981 to 1987 he studied at the Department of Printmaking and Book Illustration of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (Bratislava). He was an instructor at the University of Constantine the Philosopher (Nitra, Slovakia) from 1991 to 2004, and later was Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Academy of Arts (Banska Bystrica). Benca's work has been exhibited widely, and he as won prized in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Korea, China and France. Igor Benca lives and works in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia.
