Harriet Mary Ford was born in Brockville, Ontario in 1859. She traveled the world during her career and spent much of her life visiting countries such as Italy, Spain and England while living intermittently in Canada and England. Between 1846 and 1916, Ford exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy and across Canada. Ford was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy, the Palette Club, The Ontario Society of Artists and a founding member of the Society of Mural Decorators and the Women's International Art Club in London, UK. She died at Great Marlow, England in 1938.
