Winner of the 1977 'Raymond Duncan Prix de Paris' for drawing, Hagop Khoubesserian has lived in Canada since 1961. After he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy, Hagop was accepted by the jury of Salon d'Automne and Salon des Artistes Francais at the Grand Palais in Paris (1972 - 1973); His works were exhibited at the Public Archives of Canada, Ottawa, in 1976. Two years later, Hagop was awarded a Travel Grant for an Exhibition in Honfleur, France by the Canada Council for the Arts. A film has been made about his drawings titled 'The Horseman' by the CBC.
