George Mihalcheon was born in Boian, Alberta in 1924. He was a founding member of the Alberta College of Art and Design and The Artist's Circle. He was also a member of the Alberta Society of Artists. His work is held in corporate, public and private collections and his work was shown individually and in group exhibitions across Canada and internationally. Mihalcheon was employed for 27 years as an instructor at ACAD.
