Frederick Henry Barratt was born in Lindsay, Ontario in 1918 and died in Toronto in 1939. His painting of birds bear an accuracy in colouring and detail, as well as the lines, colouring and design of an accomplished artist. Several of his paintings were published in 'Canadian Nature' and some were widely distributed as Christmas cards.
