Frantisek Peterka was born on April, 26 1920 in Oltyne, Czech Republic. He graduated from the Academy of the Arts in Prague in 1949. In 1961 he had his first independent exhibition in the Rokoko in Prague. His works are also represented in the National Gallery, the Ales's South Czech Gallery, other leading galleries in Czech and Slovakia as well as private local and foreign collections.
