Elizabeth Zielke-Statham was born in 1936 on a farm near New Osgoode, Saskatchewan. After moving to Saskatoon, Zielke-Statham took lessons from Bob Chin and Hans Herold. She eventually moved to Lumsden, and in the late 1970s began giving private classes in painting. Zielke-Statham was a member of the Regina Federation of Artists, and held solo exhibitions at the Gallery on the Roof (Regina) and the Arlington Art Gallery (Regina). She also participated in the Saskatoon Exhibition (1971) and Bazaart exhibitions (Regina). Her work can be found in several private and public collections, including the Nutana Collegiate Memorial Art Gallery (Saskatoon).
