Born in Quebec in 1957, Elaine Mercier showed her artistic talent at a young age and at the age of 13 studied oil painting with painter Maurice LeBon. Later, she took watercolor lessons and in 1984 she ran watercolor workshops and exhibited her works on paper in several galleries. A graphic designer by training she worked in this field for several years, until in 1996 when she decided to commit to her art full-time. Elaine Mercier's work can be found in numerous public and private collections.
