David Green was born in 1935. His work was largely in oils and watercolours.He mainly painted landscapes, often featuring buildings, and was known to prefer working on site, direct from nature, which enabled him to better capture atmosphere and light. He was an Honorary Senior Member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and Member of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers.
