SKNAC bio: Darlene Hay was born 1945 in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. She received a Certificate of Fine Arts from the University of Regina (1979), a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Great Distinction (Painting) from the University of Saskatchewan (1984) and has attended many Emma Lake workshops. She has studied with Ted Godwin, Frank Nulf, Robert Christie, Otto Rogers, Joseph Drapell, Harold Feist, William Perehudoff and Douglas Haynes. Hay has been represented by McIntyre Street Gallery (Regina), Assiniboia Gallery (Regina), Art Placement (Saskatoon), Don Stewart Gallery (Montreal) and Gibson Fine Art (Calgary). Her work has been widely exhibited across Canada, including shows at Mackenzie Art Gallery (Regina), Dunlop Art Gallery (Regina), and Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon).
