Constantin Terechkovitch was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1902. He studied at the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts before moving to Paris, where he interacted with such artists a Chaim Soutine, Raoul Dufy, Amadeo Modigliani and Marc Chagall. By 1926 Terechkovitch was showing his work a major Paris galleries and participating in the Paris Salons and other shows. In 1951 Terechkovitch was named a Knight of the Legion of Honor. He died in 1978, in Monaco.
