SKNAC bio: Clint Neufeld was born and raised in a small Saskatchewan town. In the early 1990s he spent three years with the Canadian military and was deployed to the former Yugoslavia. Upon his return to Canada began studies in art at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg) which he completed with a BFA at the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) in 2002. He further completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture at Concordia University (Montreal) in 2006. NeufeldâÀ™s work centres on ceramic representations of everyday objects, from utensils to vehicle engines, rendered at scale with remarkable detail, often in colour associated more with porcelain than with the original object. Neufeld has had solo exhibitions at Mann Art Gallery (Prince Albert, Saskatchewan), Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon), MATERIA (Quebec) and Okotoks Art Gallery. Clint Neufeld lives and works on an acreage near the town of Osler, north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
