Christian Deberdt was born in Paris and, after extensive travels throughout North America, settled in Montreal in 1975. He was soon exhibiting his work in Canada and internationally where his works are in numerous private and public collections. Deberdt is best recognized for his unique hyperrealist landscape subjects inspired by the Eastern Townships of Quebec where he lived and died in November of 2011.
