In 1962 a combination of a fire and financial incentives convinced the owners to shift operations to Cornwall, Ont. Months later the name was changed to Chalet Artistic Glass. The company became known for their pieces that featured flowing lines, dramatic shapes and brilliant colours. Rising costs and increased competition eventually resulted in Chalet Glass declaring bankruptcy in October of 1975.
