Bill Nasogaluak said of this piece, "Gooblualuq was one of the last great shamans from the Inuvialuit homeland. He was known to transform into a hawk and to travel seeking good hunting areas and on rescue missions, and to fly just for the beauty of flight. His flying exploits are still recalled by some Inuvialuit elders today.
