Barry Peters was born in Pikangikum First Nation, Northwestern Ontario, in 1958. He was a member of the Triple K Cooperative, the first Indigenous-owned silkscreen company in Canada, founded by brothers Joshim, Henry and Goyce Kakegamic. His work has been exhibited widely throughout Canada and can be found in several important public collections, including the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
