Swedish born artist Annette Larsson currently lives and works in Toronto. She is the former co-director of Mercer Union, an artist-run Centre for Contemporary Art. Her practice has taken many forms over her career, one highlight being The Pleasure Vision series of light boxes. First exhibited at Tableau Vivant in 1998, this exhibition is based on photos taken of the artist’s reflections in a mirror before a matte surface and blue wash is applied, creating a surreal and dreamlike effect.
