Anna (Ann) Julianna Huculak was born in Montreal in 1930. She attended Concordia University (Montreal) and the Schneider School of Fine Arts (Toronto). She studied printmaking with Noboru Sawai and Carl Schaefer, and took a seminar with Clement Greenberg. Her work was often inspired by nature, while she utilized a wide range print techniques from aquatint, etching and woodcut to linocut and sugar lifts. Huculak lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba from 1971 to 1984 when she moved to the Okanagan, British Columbia. Ann Huculak died in 2019
