Waddington's Auction House Biography and Notes

Andrew Plum is a British-Canadian abstract painter and art and antiques dealer. He began his career in the family's antiques business when he moved from Lancashire, England to Toronto to manage the Canadian branch. After visiting the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in 2007, Plum was inspired to explore painting, sculpture, and photography. The result are highly gestural and explosively vivid works illustrating his interest in Canadian history through a rich color palette, bold brushstrokes, and sculptural forms.
