Andre Bergeron was born in 1937 in Saint-Germain, Quebec. He is a renowned painter, sculptor, and printmaker. Bergeron studied at the Academie Julian and at the College de France in Paris. He later studied engraving at the Academie Goetz in Paris and with Eugene Schenker at the Center de Gravure Contemporaine in Geneva, Switzerland. He is the former curator of the Oratory Museum, in Montreal. Bergeron is particularly recognized for his lithographs, which can be found in many public collections, including the Universite de Montreal.
