Alano Edzerza was born into the Tahltan Ganhada tribe in 1981, in Victoria, British Columbia. He became dedicated to art making at a young age, and in his teens worked in the Northwest Coast style under the supervision of his relative, artist Terrance Campbell. Over the years he developed his skills in painting, printmaking, jewellery and fashion. His subjects and style are inspired by his ancestral culture and symbols. Alano Edzerza currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
