Robert Deyber was born in 1955 in Greenwich, Connecticut. He began art making in his teens, and developed a style incorporating humour and the surreal. From mid-career Deyber's work often humourously interpreted American cliches, euphemisms and idioms. His work can be found in many important collections, and in 2006 Tom Petty commissioned Deyber to create the album art for his album Highway Companion. Robert Deyber died in Roxbury CT in 2021.
