Michele Gaubour was born in France in 1939. She is a self-taught folk artist whose work often depicts remembered and re-imagined scenes from her childhood and youth. Her works have been exhibited worldwide, including at the Salon de la societe nationale des beaux-arts (Paris) and the Galerie du Rhone (Switzerland), and can be found in the collections of Musee International d'art naif de Magog (Quebec) and the Gallery of International Naive Art (Tel Aviv, Israel).
