Gerald L. Lubeck was born in 1942, in Long Branch, New Jersey. Upon graduation he received a scholarship to the National Academy of Design in New York City. Lubeck studied with Maxwell S. Simpson He was an artist whose specialty was realism. His work featured Vermont landscapes and animals but also included a large variety of styles and subjects. He experimented with different media and approaches to all subject matter. He received many awards over the years and his annual one-man exhibitions were highly successful and well attended. He died in Bennington, Vermont in 2019.
